Are Educational Games and Educational Toys Replacing Chalkboards?
With the advent of technology in our educational system, the schools that most of us attended used chalkboards as the essential tool for education but has now been replaced by educational games and educational toys. This is not a theoretical belief that I have. It is a result of a recent visit to my daughter classroom over a year ago.
Where we had simple tables and chairs with little more than our books, pens and pencils for our education, the students nowadays have ergonomically designed desks with computers, scanners, printers, CD writers and the like. There are now educational toys and educational games to assist with early childhood development. Whereas, the teachers and college professors in our times used the chalkboard, or the blackboard as it was commonly referred to, paper, pencil, and a calculator if you were lucky. You now have erasable laminated boards, erasable markers computers, and palm pilots. Have the simple things used in teaching such as paper. pencil and a chalkboard disappeared from child education and college education alike?
Now I can probably see the disappearance of the blackboard in adult education because most adult learning has to do with life experiences. In home schooling, it is probably not the most efficient thing to use in your home to teach with. But I mourn the new fangled technology innovations in the classroom and the disappearance of the chalkboards and the simple things. Thus the creation of this educational games and toys website!
With so many educational games and educational toys available, here I hope you will find resources and information you need provided by educational games and toys news and educational toys reviews. As we move more and more to high tech education of course the chalkboard does not stand a chance of survival. So while I do mourn the passing of the older values of education, I have started to embrace the psp's, wii's and of course the computer. So with that said enjoy this educational games and educational toys website.
