or you could go to chesshere.com and play against people who are at different skill levels and they can teach you. There are also tonnes of books on it. But the last answerer is right….you need to play to learn.

try pogo chess it highlights where you can put the pieces and then you can learn from there like i did . after a while you learn what happens if you make the wrong move.
