Benefits Of Social Media Marketing

Every small business owner should utilize the power of community socializing on the web. If you have hesitated, or are just starting out, you have a lot to gain. Here are some benefits of social media marketing. It is advisable to put these benefits to work for your company as soon as possible.

One, it is how people around the world communicate. We are no longer reliant on traditional mediums. Instead, news presents its self via social sites.

These community sites basically offer you a free ride. Free to use equals free marketing for your company. Therefore, if you are willing to put forth the time and the work, that is your only price of admission.

Three, most of us tend to trust the opinions of other people. Usually more so than we trust printed ads. Consider how many purchases you have made based on someone elses opinion. We just feel more comfortable paying for something when we trust a recommendation.

Four, millions of bloggers post reviews about different items. Considering that, surely you realize that they are a force to be reckoned with. Their numbers are mighty, and so is their opinions. It is a great media marketing tool that is just waiting for you to grab on to.

Why, because as consumers, we pay attention to what is being said, and social media is quickly becoming relied upon. In fact, what is being said may be just as important a your page rank. So you should consider getting your product in to the fray.

Sixth, networking is one of the most performed activities on the web; Facebook alone has millions of users every day. Those users could equate to millions of customers buying what you are selling. Where else will you find millions of potential customers in one place, on the same day?

Seven, it enables you to keep an eye on your competitors. Therefore, it presents an opportunity to compete wisely. You may decide to under cut their pricing, match it, or offer a bonus, such as discounted shipping. If you know what their action is, you know how to compete effectively.

Social Media marketing gives both you and your customers a voice. You can improve customer service just by interacting with your customers. It helps you gain their trust, and their business.

There you have it, eight reasons why you should use Social Media Marketing. Although this is just the tip of the iceberg, it should be incentive enough to get you excited about promoting your business. So, power up and log in to The Social Revolution.

I think it's a good way how you break down the social media landscape. It is important to make a clear distinction between “outsourcing” social media and “offshoring” social media.

Hiring US based social media strategist can put the campaign into right direction which can save time and lower risks. Offshoring is quite different. In my opinion, companies need to have a mature social media process in place before they engage with offshore resources to optimize the social strategy. Strategic outsourcing should always start in the US and work toward augment the social media staff oversea.

As afollow up to my posting on Wind power I searched online for information on the author I quoted Mike Sagrillo. It turns out Mike is a local boy who operates out of Portland Oregon and has been commissioned to do numerous studies on Wind Power in the Northwest. Mike has many published articles and in one persons viewpoint is the leading authority on Wind Power in the Northwest (web 20 oct 2010).”

Glass is always a great subject, especially when combined with light, as we'll work on this fall. Why should glass be structural? Why should concrete be transparent? Should metal be transparent too? In 1914, Paul Scheerbart and Bruno Taut wanted to have us all live in glass houses and glass cities. See Scherbart's book “The Gray Cloth: Paul Scheerbart's Novel on Glass Architecture”.
This month's issue of Architectural Record has a nice “Continuing Education” section on the new “green” glazing systems available for buildings called “Transparency: Literal & Sustainable,” a play on the Slutzky essay you read last year with Gerard (at least I hope so). See: Although these Continuation Education articles may seem “too technical” and too advanced for 2nd year, they offer real-world ideas and a sense of complex construction. I would urge you to try and understand how the systems work, read the articles and drawings carefully. If you read enough of them over the years, you'll learn a lot about the construction industry (not the same as great architecture, but…). This one in particular has some nice history mixed in, about Le Corbusier's early attempt at a double glass skin, how unsuccessful it was (leaking was only part of the problem).
On one of my very first posts I had given everyone the link to get cheap student subscriptions to the Architectural Record I recommend everyone subscribe to a hard copy architecture journal…
Finally, there is perhaps no architect more famous for glass than Mies van der Rohe, the original “glass box architect,” an early innovator in “curtains of glass.” An interesting theory piece on it is by Josep Quetglas, “Fear of glass : Mies van der Rohe's pavilion in Barcelona”. Might be interesting to compare Mies' glass curtain wall at Lakeshore Towers with the new systems in Architectural Record.

1. don't think it's the problem; just a comment: i've not used <<EOD for multi-line strings, and never had trouble. just ' .. ' or " .. " works, no matter how many lines i have..

i think your problem my be your mail server.
- if it's a home server with a dynamic dns, you may have recently obtained an ip that has been used by a spammer
- if it's a shared hosting server, one of the people you are sharing it with may be a spammer (shared hosting is usually cheap)
- if you're using a shared hosting company with your own private ip, the server's mail server may still be shared
- probably not your problem, but i have a home-based server & my isp blocks port 25 (used to send mail).
i solved my problem by configuring sendmail to use a gmail account to send emails
depending on your hosting, this may not be an option; to resolve this issue, you'd be best to contact your website host (if you're not doing it yourself)

Hi Angelo, I might be wrong but just a warning that if you are sending traffic to our affiliate program via “free traffic exchange” type programs that it is not coverting at all – people are not interacting the site, and the average time on the site is less than 10 seconds – just a quick note to let you know not to waste your time or money as this method of traffic generation just doesn't work.

We are announcing a lot of things this week on our affiliate newsletter including somethings which are proven and work really well. If you are interested you can signup for the news here:

Many thanks,
Dan

Read the Kite Runner, but A Thousand Splendid Suns is still sitting next to my bed, next in line once I finish light-read The Secret Life of a Slummy Mummy, which will only get done once I've finished reading the prerequisite number of Continuing Education articles to renew my pharmacist registration. Also awaiting my attention is The Russian Concubine, and some classics which I don't promise I'll actually get around to reading.

That's a straw man. The questions asked are: "Are you happy with the direction the country is headed and are you happy with the performance of the president." Nowhere does it ask, "Are you happy with your life or the state of American society." It asks if we're happy with the direction our country is headed and the performance of our president. And I'm not. I see civil liberties eroding and debts mounting while the government expands and spends spends spends. That's not the direction I want America headed in, same way I'd be unhappy if my daughter at college were spending $2000 a month on credit cards and getting into fist fights. She might be a great kid, might get good grades, but that doesn't mean she isn't setting herself up for disaster. And I've been unhappy with the performance of the president since we started building up for the expensive boondoggle that is Iraq. Throw in his utter disdain for the Constitution and I feel perfectly justified in being unhappy with his performance. But you know what? I'm a very happy person. I have a good job (that Bush didn't provide for me), a great wife (that Bush didn't provide for me), and plenty of friends (that Bush didn't provide for me). Bush isn't the end all and be all of my existence. He's just the president, and a pretty lousy one at that. If I asked you whether you were happy with the status of illegal immigration in this country could I then honestly draw a conclusion about how satisfied you are with your social life? That's what you're trying to do here. I've got a great life. That doesn't mean that Bush doesn't suck, and it doesn't mean that he's leading us down a path we shouldn't even be on. Sorry if you can't see the difference.
