Future Scarcity Of New Diamonds Insures Their Appreciation Over Time
Mining diamonds is not a modern task, this is something which has been done for hundreds and hundreds of years. Since technology has advanced we have now developed better ways to test diamonds to know their clarity, and to discover their worth. However, despite this technology even hundreds of years ago jewellers were making brilliant pieces comprised of high quality, highly expensive diamonds, as a result even older jewellery articles might be worth a small fortune nowadays. Many individuals may put this on the fact that diamonds are pricey as it is. This is just not necessarily the case. As resources are depleted we can see marked changes in the cost of not just gold but diamonds as well. Diamonds are a future proof investment, if invested in now, or owned for more than a few years, you will see huge increases in the value of them in the future, but why is this?
Diamonds are usually not found in large quantities all around the world, it may be viable to drill to get diamonds anyplace though the cost of doing this may outweigh the potential resale price if it is only a small handful of diamonds.
It is no surprise that diamond mining is limited to areas where there are incredibly large deposits, quantities large enough to provide diamonds for years. There are lots of mines across the world, but nowhere near as many as there used to be. You will discover only a few mass mining areas left.
One such region is Canada, which is currently the worlds third largest producer of diamonds. There exists a relatively recent mine in Quebec. This mine, over time is becoming increasingly more surprising.
When initially drilled, to find out accurately how large the supply of diamonds was, they acknowledged that they had about eight years of mining, however on drilling more in additional locations they realized that this was not entirely accurate and that there were several more years of mining achievable as there is such a substantial amount of diamonds.
The new mining operation which is due to start shortly has the plan of creating more jobs for local areas. They are not interested in bringing lots of outside people in for next to nothing, but wanting to add to the local economy.
This is a big consideration as over time there have been several controversial in addition to inhumane problems when it comes to diamonds. Nowadays that additional resources are being found there aren’t so many blood-diamonds going around.
In spite of Canada finding a large mass of diamonds that is anticipated to provide roughly 30 million carats of diamonds, this is not future proof. They are going to be able to provide diamonds for many years nevertheless the supply remains scarce. Diamond jewelry will certainly continue to go up in value and be worth far more than it’s currently in time. It is unfortunate that diamonds will not be able to be produced forever as they are genuinely spectacular, nonetheless for those wanting an investment, or to understand that their items are going to be worth a good deal in the future, austin diamond jewelry is undoubtedly the way to go.
The above was written by Michael Crane who is a precious stone expert. He has been one of the most recognized jewelers austin tx has for over five years now due to the personal attention to detail he gives clients.

Geez, nothing like a nice cheerful story to lift one’s spirits. I gripe and complain about our government a lot, but reading about stuff like this makes me glad we live in a mostly stable nation, despite its myriad of problems. Life in Liberia must be a real challenge for everyone. And you’re right – most of us here in the good ole’ USA probably have no clue about any of this. To help bring things a little closer to home, I dug up a few more juicy scoops on this guy…
Charles Taylor is supported by and has had business ties with none other than evangelist extraordinaire and former presidential candidate Pat Robertson. Now I’m no big fan of Robertson – quite the opposite in fact – and I’m well aware that Robertson has been involved in scrupulous diamond mining practices. In 1999, Pat Robertson negotiated an $8M investment into Liberia’s diamond operations. And as it turned out, Mr. Robertson was using resources from his ministry to help supply the mining operations and writing it off as tax-exempt. Shame on you, Pat. If I were to judge Taylor by association alone, he’d already have a one-way ticket to the big house by now. *laugh*
Oh and by the way, Taylor also has a son Chuckie who is from Orlando, Florida. (I happen to live 4 hours from Orlando – it’s so nice to have such pleasant neighbors.) In January of this year, Chuckie was sentenced to 97 years in prison by a Florida US district court judge for war crimes. Here’s a quote from the Guardian UK during the trial:
“The son of former Liberian president Charles Taylor ran a security force in his father's government with a brutal agenda marked by the beating, burning and beheading of people opposed to his rule, a federal prosecutor said Monday during a landmark torture trial in Miami. Charles “Chuckie” Taylor Jr, born in Boston and raised in Orlando, Florida, was tapped by his father to command an anti-terrorist unit called the Demon Forces that cut a man's penis with a sharp knife before dumping him in a dirt pit, Justice Department prosecutor Christopher Graveline said in opening statements.”
What a nice guy he must be.
I’ll have to add the movie Blood Diamond to my Netflix queue. Thanks Katie.

Hi Steve
Great Blog, just discovered it and will report on it, where appropriate, on Henry Thornton's SMERSH Section. I have already done so, by the way.
You make an important analogy of the Mann et al episode to the Bre-X scam. Most monumental stuff ups occur from human imperfection, including egos and what, not producing acute embarassment which often results in irrational reactions that are mis-interpreted.
The biggest issue with quantification of data of a geoscientific nature involves understanding the sample-volume-variance phenomeon, dealt at length in Koch and Link, 1972. Subsequent research, mainly in the discipline of geostatistics, (that of Krige, Blais and Carlier, Fritz Achterberg, etc, has not resolved this problem.
In the diamond mining game random statistical theory is workable for primary diamond deposits but geo-statistics fails (and conventional statistics totally) in dealing with diamond distribtions in alluvial diamond deposits.
Diamond distribution in hydraulic systems, whether marine or terrestrial, in which turbulence is the dominant physical process, has resisted analysis. Like climate systems, in which coupled, non linear chaotic systems dominate, prediction seems impossible for the moment.
But considering the amount of money we, in the diamond business, have thrown at the issue, no serious diamond explorer looks at alluvial diamond deposists. Mind you some are profitable, or seem to be, but from experience, it is literally impossible to predict, from a statistical sense, the diamond grade of a block of ore in an alluvial diamond deposit.

That is heartbreaking. That baby will die without its mother. I think it's a distinct possibility that the older rabbit will kill the baby, if he doesn't starve to death first.
I would call her and tell her she must return the rabbit at once, or you will get the authorities involved. You can then call animal control or the police. If anyone else witnessed her catching the rabbit, it would help if they add to the police report.
My last question is…was it a wild rabbit? If it's wild, there is absolutely no justification for her catching it. Even the adult rabbit will die in captivity if it is wild.
If it is a domestic rabbit, the best thing to do would probably be to catch the mother and have the mother and baby together. Domestic rabbits are not well suited for living outside.
Have you seen ? They have a page with tips concerning what to do if you find a rabbit.
Good luck, I hope the bunnies make it.
