Master French For Children
Most developmental psychologists would concur that young kids have better capability to learn another language. What language could be better than French for kids? In the USA, French is widely spoken next to English, Spanish as well as Chinese.
The truth is, several states such as Maine and Louisiana acknowledge French as a second language. Kids who become familiar with a 2nd language at an earlier stage ( even as a child) may be easily fluent especially if such language is usually heard and spoken in the house environment. This can lead to natural language acquisition which is the ideal form of obtaining another language. Chomsky, a well known linguist whose seminal works in linguistics regarding Language Acquisition Device says that learning another language benefits most very young learners given that language learning follows a routine. Beginning early learning of French for kids is a timely and productive investment for their future.
Subjecting kids to a second language like French has a lot of benefits. Even the European Commission ( EC) itself is promoting the advocacy of studying a second language to its member countries in the perception that this could bring more opportunities in business as well as job. Most EC members pick English due to the language’s global availability plus the popularity of western publications, films, and pop culture. Nevertheless,
French is the 2nd language picked by EC members since it is a well-recognized language even by the UN. One additional reason why kids ought to learn another language such as French is that studies have been made regarding increased academic performance of pupils who attain a second language. A study in 1992 by College Bound Seniors revealed that pupils who at least studied foreign language in no less than 4 years executed better at verbal area of Scholastic Attitude Test (SAT). This alone is a tremendous info that all parents has to always remember when contemplating whether their children should learn a brand new language.
What better language can be more beneficial to kids than French? The language is a romance language with good nasal intonations which kids would find fun and good for their future.

Jennie you were/are very good in front of the camera, but you're far more talented behind a keyboard. Hats off to a superbly written post.
I said it here before but it bears repeating; evidence of your writing talent goes back to your myhotmess days when you were blogging while still in the throes of addiction and the industry. You certainly have honed your skills since then with this website, continued education, and articles.
As modern society encourages us to be readily able to “identify” ourselves when asked by a random stranger your answer should be “I'm a writer”.
You always have been.

SENT: Fri, Aug 8, 2008 at 1:08 PMDr. Greer,I think that it is great that you were able to take the time to look at my blog. I am sorry that my opinion of the situation seemedspecious and self-serving to you, please to not think that I had intended to insult the integrity of anyone on your council. If anything, I had hoped that my piece would inspire you to be a little clearer about the Advisory Council's project. Please feel free to write the Hall Institute an Op-Ed and spend perhaps 750 words or more explaining the project of the Advisory Council in a concise way that New Jerseyans will understand–I think letting people know what you are proposing and why you are proposing it is very important. We at the Hall Institute welcome all view points and because of your direct involvement with the deeper issues of higher education I think it would be great to have yours represented on our site. Also, this week there is sort of a higher education theme on the Institute's main site. Please feel free to respond to any of our higher education articles that are up this week or any that you find in our archives. All the best,Jarrett
