[...] Your denial of the importance of true diversity to maintain the status quo doesn’t fool me (via EducationCEO’s Blog) Part of my (late) morning (or even afternoon) ritual is to read the Atlanta-Journal Constitution (AJC) for stories related to education. My first stop is usually the GetSchooled blog by Maureen Downey, then on to education articles by Aileen Dodd, as they often write on some interesting topics. This morning there was an article written by Aileen that caught my eye: Broad Prize win makes diversity a focus in Gwinnett school board race.' My inte … Read More [...]

Kindle is the best right now. Electronic Ink comes closest to paper (although with no backlighting, so you have to have ambient light just like a book). Also the 3g version gives you FREE wireless in most countries, which is an amazing feature. $189 for the 3g version.

Both the new sony ebook reader and the amazon ebook reader use a technology called e-ink It is a new medium which combines ink with electronics to form a very high definition screen technology that is also very thin. It is also used in the new mobile phones for their screen technology as well. It opens whole new fields for advertising and print design. Really incredible stuff could be done with this technology. Ultimately, as the technology develops, it may do a lot to reduce the amount of paper we use.

Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch can be used as ebook readers, too.
And the company behind the Foxit PDF reader has just come out with its own ebook reader:
The one thing that all of these readers have in common is that they are crazy expensive. At a time when one can buy a decent mp3 player for less than $100, the prices for ebook readers are just ridiculous. I'd like one, but I'm waiting for the price to drop below $100.

Perhaps you ought to rephrase your question.
How many immigrants .. its not only muslims that destabilise populations you know,,
The UK population has been affected by huge influx of eastern european peoples, which are mostly catholic. I kinda think that this event has had far more effect on the UK .

PDFS do not display well on e-readers with less then a 6 inch screen, common 6 inch e-readers are the kindle 2, barnes and noble nook, astak, most sonys. etc.
I would go with a 9 inch e-reader if you want to read PDFS well, you can look at the Kindle DX, Sony Daily, or others.
They are more expensive then 6 inch, but if you like to read, thats what I would do.
Also, you can download software that converts PDFS to different e-book formats, that way a pdf converted to whatever format your 6 inch e-reader reads the best, then you can do that. Its a few extra steps, but worth it in the long run if initial cost of the e-reader is an issue.
If you want to check out what e-readers support what formats, I would look at this forum
If you want to do more competitive research on e-readers, and which ones are the best to invest in, for the long term, i would check out their blog too at
Hope this helps you a little bit
