Single Mom | How To Be Single And Happy
Why do some people become drug addicts?
Its because they want to escape from the horrible emotions they experience everyday and the unsolved problems that gives them a hard time.
The main reason lots of drug addicts feel bad when they quit aren’t the withdrawal symptoms but its the fact that they start to experience all of the emotions that they were trying to escape from.
When someone tells me that he is feeling bad because he stopped doing a certain bad habit i usually tell him, “Welcome to your real world, That’s the world you were escaping from throughout your life”
So what does all this has to do with being single and happy?
Love addiction vs drug addiction
Just like some drug addicts depend on drugs to escape from bad moods and the emotions that they can’t tolerate some people use love to cover the intolerable emotions that they are experiencing all the time when they are single.
Usually love addicts have a messed up life that makes them feel bad all the time and that’s why they always seek some kind of pain killer to help them withstand the emotional pain and just as you may have already guessed, they use relationships as pain killers!!!
So after all those people get into relationships because they feel really bad when they are single and the reason they feel bad when they are single is that their lives are messed up!! So its not about love, or romance but its about escaping from their lives because they can’t manage them well.
Its abnormal to feel bad while you are single
While its quite logical to feel better when you are in a relationship than when you are single still its completely abnormal to feel bad when you are single.
If you are always feeling bad when you are on your own then this means that your life is full of problems that you must solve and of bad emotions that you are unable to deal with.
Love addicts find it extremely hard to forget someone, simply because those people depend on that person to feel good instead of learning how to be self sufficient they find it extremely hard to let go of him.
Even if the trick of using a relationship to escape the bad mood works still the problems will always be there and they will come back to the surface as soon as the slightest problem happens with the relationship.
In short if you want to feel good while you are single then you must learn how to solve your life problems, how to deal with your unwanted emotions and how to not escape to a relationship when life gives you a hard time.

I dated a guy who was the only son of a single mom. He was spoiled, wanted everything his way.. and had the “don't boss me around” complex. They are something.. but then, there is always exceptions to the rule
