The Childhood Education Blog

Before the school formally begins, teach your child and give him or her opportunity to practice self care abilities like grooming and eating by him or herself.

To better settle your child’s worries, try to find out what causes such anxiety and think of ways on how to comfort the child’s mind. Among the worries that a child may have about school includes not being able to reach the bathroom at the right time or being reprimanded by the teacher for whatever reasons. Tell your child that the bathroom will be shown to him or her by the teacher or better yet, during your visit, show the bathroom’s location to your child.

Before the school day, help your child in preparing the bag and all the items which need to be brought to school. Your child’s name must be written on all his or her things to identify which is his or hers in case there are other children who have similar things with your child.

If the child is sickly, better pay a visit to the doctor first for a health checkup. On this checkup, the doctor may assess your child’s vision, hearing and other sensory perceptions that are essential in proper learning. A vaccination may be possible or the doctor will prescribe vitamins and food supplements that may be given to your child to boost his or her immunity and mental ability.

In many cases there isn’t enough time available to investigate every concern a parent has. However, taking the time to figure out your priorities beforehand is a tactic which can alleviate a bit of hassle and cut down on the stresses involved. In this article we will outline a few choice steps to help you find the right day care for you!
