The GMAT And GMAT Prep
If your looking to choose your Master’s Degree from an accredited business school, you will in all probability be required to take the Graduate Management Admissions Test, or the GMAT. This test is made available by the Graduate Management Admissions Council, or GMAC. The aim is to help graduate schools that offer degrees in business and management with the admission process. There are a few GMAT prep tools to help you do well on the exam.
The GMAT is undertaken a computer, costs $250.00 and scores achieved are valid for five years. The test takes approximately four hours to finish; this includes two optional fifteen minute breaks. It is scored on a 200 to 800 scale. Recently, the normal score has hovered around 540.
This is not a test designed to measure subjective abilities like study skills, work habits or creative imagination. Instead it is utilized as an objective guide to help officers of admission evaluate the qualifications of candidates. The exam has three main sections: Verbal, Quantitative and Analytical Writing Appraisal.
The exam begins with an Analytical Writing Assessment. It is a two-part section, and examinees are given 30 minutes for each part. The first assignment is designated as “Analysis of an Issue”. The second is titled “Analysis of an Argument”. Working experience and general knowledge of the topic given can be employed to address these questions.
The other two sections are called Quantitative and Verbal. There are 37 questions for the qualitative piece and 41 for the verbal. The test-taker is given 75 minutes to finish each section. The qualitative skills tested revolve around basic mathematical conceptions, while the verbal portion measures reading comprehension and grammar abilities.
Since GMAT scores are a significant component in the admissions process, it is worthwhile to undertake some form of gmat prep. There is free test prep software and sample tests and guides available for purchase from the GMAC. What is more, there are many test preparation organizations that offer help in classroom settings.

It seems good. I don't know, maybe you can include a quote from Cho or a specific example. I guess the title could be New kid on the rap front?, (okay, that was kind of uh) Maybe The next big thing?

Hey vkasi,
I have to be honest with you. I'm not a good candidate to ask for GMAT prep. Its true that I took the GMAT twice, but I spent 12 days studying for my first attempt and only 10 for the second, which I took 6 months after the first. The strategy I followed for my second attempt was to take the mock GMAT tests 4 times. I used Manhattan GMAT for Sentence correction, reading comprehension and critical analysis in the last 3 days before my main test and that was pretty much it. My final score was in the range of scores I was getting on the mocks. I credit MGMAT with improving my score by 20-30 points on the final day.
Having said that, you should probably read this post by my friend Hari who is a GMAT taking expert by now. You will also benefit from the material on Beat the GMAT portal.
One thing I will say is to be strategic about the exam. If you are an engineer, usually you will find quant pretty easy and score around 48-49 with little preparation (mainly probability, statistics). I had a Q48, V36 in my first main GMAT attempt. I knew getting from 48 to 51 in Q was gonna take a lot of time so I focussed on improving my V score. Similarly, once you take a practice test, you will know where you stand and you can prepare strategically from there.
Keep an open mind about retaking the exam. Most people take it twice anyway. Also, most important thing is to keep cool during the test. You might not know the answer to some questions at a critical time, so just make a good guess and move on.
An hour or two each day for two months is a good enough schedule. Good luck for the exam!

The e-file date is set for Feb 11th. If you got direct deposit, it will be sent out about 2 weeks after the 11th. Your refund won't change at all. The form changes number in how they figure alternative min. tax, and they changed that at the very end of december. That is what the delay is for. But don't worry as long as your return wasn't rejected it is being kept in holding, and you won't have to file a paper return. If you file a paper return your refund will take 6 weeks to be direct deposited.

nice. I agree.
It seems a bit ideal/unrealistic/unoriginal, considering you were in "6th grade."
