It is quite possible that your return is correct as filed and the refund amount will not change.
Congress acted very late in the year to make changes to the alternative minimum tax (AMT). Any forms that link to the AMT will cause your return to be suspended even if you do not owe AMT. The IRS has to rework the tax program to figure in the changes congress made. Hang tight. It will actually take longer if you file a paper return. Electronic returns will be processed first & they will be more accurate than paper.
If you want to DO SOMETHING then write to your Senators & Representatives and tell them you want them to avoide enacting tax laws in December.

An author would definately be my number 1 choice for you …however teaching is also great…and you were able to teach me College Algebra over the telephone before SKYPE..and by the way that is the first math class that I have EVER received higher than a “C”.
The No Child Left Behind Act definately sucks…but after all it's said and done, the kids are the most important, you can still make an impact on student's lives beyond the tests and standards. ..(and we have a new president.)
The students are also super entertaining, and since your working in education…you continue to get smarter and know what your own children are doing in school..and ….can I get a drum roll??? SUMMERS OFF! W/pay!
You can spend your summers flipping houses while you have a great retirement and health insurance plan. I hear Oregon is awesome to teach in as well.
In Georiga, as long as you have a Bachelor's Degree all you have to do is become certified in a subject (GACE EXAM) and then you can teach it…also you could possibly get your foot into a high school teaching a business class??? Not sure about the rules there..but I'm so glad I chose to do it…now if I can just find a job!

The Way We Live Now
Class Dismissed Education: Class Dismissed It's every modern parent's worst nightmare—a school where kids can play all day. But no one takes the easy way out, and graduates seem to have a head start on the information age. Welcome to Sudbury Valley.

How TV Frames the Working Class
Narrated by Ed Asner
Based on the forthcoming book by Pepi Leistyna, Class Dismissed navigates the steady stream of narrow working class representations from American television's beginnings to today's sitcoms, reality shows, police dramas, and daytime talk shows.
Featuring interviews with media analysts and cultural historians, this documentary examines the patterns inherent in TV's disturbing depictions of working class people as either clowns or social deviants — stereotypical portrayals that reinforce the myth of meritocracy.
Class Dismissed breaks important new ground in exploring the ways in which race, gender, and sexuality intersect with class, offering a more complex reading of television's often one-dimensional representations. The video also links television portrayals to negative cultural attitudes and public policies that directly affect the lives of working class people.
