Financial Aid | Computer Giants Offer Scholarships And More
High school students hear there is going to be a shortage of computer professionals in the near future. They also see advertising about how there are piles of financial aid offers for the taking. Just give the website in question your parent’s credit card number and they will gladly help fill out a FASFA form and get the student a Pell Grant. That is, if what they advertise has any truth to it at all.

Because without the assistance this lone beacon of democracy in an otherwise cesspool of sand would be over-run. They do need the aid. No country that small could defend itself from such large entities bent on its destruction.

Financial aid is normally defined as any money someone else gives or loans you to go to school. This can be in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, fellowships…. Some financial aid is based on financial need, such as grants that don't have to be paid back. Some financial aid are based on merit, such as scholarships that look at GPA and test scores. And some financial aid is based on a combination of both. Some is based on neither. I've also heard of the term, self-help financial aid- which is money that is loaned to to you pay back. In the back of this publication is a good dictionary of fin aid terms. Here is a good Dept of Ed publication all about what is fin aid.

Financial Aid is a pot of money set aside by the government for students who fall under a certain pay bracket. The best website for finding information you will need in order to apply for financial assistance is http://www.Fafsa.edu. Don't worry, it's a secure government website. You can also apply for a PIN number, that way when you do go to apply for your grants, you will already have the PIN and will not have to wait like everyone else.
Just a quick reference, Financial Aid is a two parter; grants and loans. If you are struggling financially, go for the grants and leave the loans for the very last resort. Student loans take forever to pay back. And if you do get a loan, go with someone like Sallie Mae. They are trustworthy. I hope this helps.

Financial aid is money you recieve to help pay for school. This includes loans, grants, and scholarships. Loans you have to pay back, usually after you get out of school. Grants and scholarships are free money you don't have to pay back. You should go to and apply for financial aid. FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This may give you a Pell grant (free money you don't have to pay back) or a Stafford loan.
I hope this clears things up for you!
