She has the right to choose her preferred facility — Lose your anger.
However, I understand your frustration with her dependency — So stop enabling her.
She can ask her own questions, etc.
Good Luck (I hope you get your preferred facility).

Not automatically!
You have to file first, you get a reduced standard deduction (you will still be a dependent on your parents' return)… but if you make less than about $5,350, including iterest income, your tax will be zero. On the other hand if you made $7,000, you'll have a small tax bill due.
Student status doesn't count, it's income and dependent status.
I don't know if it's still true, but when I was in college I could get exempted from paying Social Security tax byt filing this on my W-4.

No, you are not their dependent.
There are 2 types of dependents: "Qualifying Child" and "Qualifying relative"
Qualifying child has an age limit of 18 unless you are a full time student (in which case its 23). You were a part time student, which doesn't count, so you don't pass the age test and you cannot be their qualifying child.
Qualifying relative has an income limit of $3650. Even though they provided over 50% of your support, they cannot claim you as a qualifing relative because you're over the income limit.
You're not their "qualifying child" and you're not their "qualifying relative" so you're not their dependent. You can claim yourself which means you get your own personal exemption and you can claim the "making work pay" credit to take $400 off of your tax liability.

iGeneration . While reading Other People’s Words ” by Victoria Purcell-Gates, I learned that literacy is dependent on a student’s ability to find value in what they are reading. We have reached a point where the traditional forms of education are not effectively engaging and preparing students for a competitive future.
As a prospective teacher who intents on meeting the needs of the iGeneration through classroom technology integration, I will undoubtedly face resistance from fellow professionals. Teachers must learn from their students, and in turn develop new and effective literacy strategies. Beyond developing literacy strategies for a growing iGeneration, how exactly can educators make lasting connections with these students?]]>
