Federal financial aid includes grants, loans, and work-study.

Grants are need-based and will be awarded if your family is low-income.
Loans are available regardless of need, but if your family makes good money then you may not qualify for low-interest or unsubsidized loans. You may still qualify for subsidized loans.

Applying for financial aid should not have any affect on if the school will accept or deny you at all.

yes that is what it means. However, deferred means put off, not canceled. If for some reason your Financial aid is revoked or canceled, then you will be required to pay those fees again. But as long as you didn't lie on your financial aid application or something like that then you should be fine.

Read the above page, they say, "The Financial Aid Office has an open door policy and financial aid packets are available for all students." I don't really know, but this line suggests that financial aid is available for every student who applies there.
